Will the RS5 trigger traps work with wood hoops. I have ayotte toms and snares with wood hoops and would like to supplement with the RS5 triggers.

No I don't think the trigger traps will work with wood hoops. I know they don't work on bass drum hoops. they are made for standard acoustic chrome drum rims. they mount via a tension rod.
