THIS TESTIMONIAL IS SO UNBELIEVABLE THAT IT JUST DESERVES TO REMAIN AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE BECAUSE EVEN WE WHO KNOW THE QUALITY OF OUR DRUMS TOTALLY DID NOT SEE THIS ONE COMING! OH, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

So we've all heard testimonials about various products and even I find it hard to believe most of them. But here's one for you guys that I swear on anything is true.
I play in a local cover band her in Savannah. We play parties and bars, we all have day jobs this is just a hobby kind of thing. Well this past Saturday night we played a local bar up the street from where we practice, so a short drive. I play the concert cast kit with the Roland brain, I love it, it's incredible and I can't say enough about it. So on short drives I break down as little as possible, so I just unplug a few things and set the entire rack in the back of my truck. So after our gig Saturday night me and the bass player are headed back to the practice space (he's behind me in his car) when I hear a weird kinda woooosh sound. I look in my rear-view mirror and see the silhouette of my drum kit in his head lights, flying through the air. That's right the entire drum kit flipped out of my car, I thing the wind caught the cymbals and just lifted it out of the truck. (Insert redneck in truck joke here) But any way the kit hit the ground and slid down the road a bit, my bass player said he saw sparks coming from the kit as it was sliding. Needless to say I was freaking out. So I jump out of the truck and ran back to the kit. The kit was really scratched up, and a couple of the boom stand arms had broken off, the worst of the damage was to one 10" cymbal I use as a splash up front all the rubber padding had been pulled off. So I'm convinced I'll be buying a new kit soon, BUT I took the kit back and set it all up and the AMAZING THING IS EVERYTHING WORKED. Even the 10" that was so scratched up worked fine.
So not that I wasn't sold on Pintech drums before but come on, if you can throw them out of the back of your truck at 50MPH and they still sound awesome, you can't do any better than that!!!!
Rock ON!

Brian - just wanted you to know I just got home and everything had arrived earlier in the week - snare is some better ...I will go thru video again and tweak, but I played hard for about an hour tonight and it is much better ....
Also swapped cables around on the crash cymbal that is giving me trouble .... cables tracked; cymbal disfunctional nomatter what trigger I select so I got online and read reviews for that cymbal model - has a horrible reputation - lastsabout 8 months and then fails ... I have had mine a long time so this validates. I will try a Yamaha cymbal and see if thatworks (set is yamaha) ... if that fails, I guess I get the top end Pintech cymbals when I get my bonus in Feb :o)
Pix of my setup and the speakers ... running 200w each side, plus 80w Roland monitor system, and I run the drums through a compressor which seems to help manage the signal .... I like it. Wires look a little haggy because I put it all backtogether tonight after I opened the box, but you get the idea....
Thx for your help. If you get a chance, I would appreciate it if you could send me the video file so I can put it onmy tablet that I keep with my drums, so I can walk through the voice setups again (and again and again ... and again) .... Ya did good!!!!
And Lorrie - thanks for outstanding service ... snare is better ... I am not getting response Brian got,but with his video I can tweak and squeak ...
To all of you - thank you again.

Just wanted to thank you for all your help. I attached a pic of my finished set after rebuilding the toms and installingthe ax 14 snare kit .
The kit performs flawlessly with my Yamaha DTX500 unlike Hart, which ignores Yamaha owners. The rim trigger works great onthe snare .
The feel is also more realistic than the Roland pd100 and pd120 setup I sold to buy these. Best drum decision yet.
I will NEVER buy another brand of electronic drums.
I like being hands on and playing something I am able to rebuild myself is just ,well..American.

Why are you so awesome???
Thank you SO much for everything... The extra triggers?? Really, thank you. You really made this happen for me. I wasreally only in for triggers in the first place. The cymbals was something I was willing to live with. I had resigned tojust having a "functional" kit that I would one day have to nearly "give" away. Now, I don't see myself ever getting rid ofit. It actually now opens up more possibility of running a more professional outfit. I will display the stickers proudlyand talk you up with our local Long & McQuade and Axe Music.
Thanks again.

Dan,
I have a Yamaha DXTreme drum kit (photo attached); Roland mesh heads, and Pintech AS-14 snare. I much prefer the Pintechsnare because I can reduce the stick impact noise as opposed to Roland mesh or Yamaha heads.
I love the snare, but we have had some issues with changing the transducer and the Yamaha drum computer sensitivitity, etc. Apparently the Yamaha is one of he more difficult voices to program, and lately I have noticed loss of sensitivity -when you do a roll on the snare, you get only about every 3rd stick bounce or so.
Point of this letter is that I have been in contact with Lorrie off and on (I have a horrendous international travelschedule) over the past year or so working through transducer issues, programming of my DXTreme machine (I have firstgeneration; the DXtreme II is a little more flexible) ... and it looks like we might need to upgrade my AS-14 and put thecontrol pot in the circuit ... but through all of this experimentation, Lorrie has been a rock and a wealth of knowledge, all the while providing exceptional support. I have been in the service industry for 35 years, as a field service engineerand program manager for SKF, and I wish my techs all had her attitude and energy. In today's business, from where I sit,she represents the definition of service, and I wanted to share my experience with you. We will continue to work throughthis until we figure it out, and I have that confidence because of Lorrie's service and support.
Kindest personal regards,
Doug

Hello Lorrie!Last Friday got my cymbals to Mexico City. Yesterday I’ve played with them!, and after a while of configuration in myYamaha module dtxpress II the sound is very good!, I’m very happy with my new cymbals, the cymbals are very realisticbecause of the size, material, sound, movement (the spring is working great).
I think that my yamaha dtxpress II module is not capable to make choke my PC16-2. Well, I have the TD-3 Module by Roland, and I know that with the TD-3 works fine.
Let me tell you, that In June or July I will to buy my hi hats visulite.
I have a question Lorrie:
Can I implement by myself the "AcousTech Conversion Package" into my acoustic drum or it is very dificult?. This is becauseI'm interested in acquire 1 kit.
THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS YES, OUR CONVERSIONS ARE EASY ENOUGH THAT MOST PEOPLE CAN DO THEM! aND ESPECIALLY FORDRUMMERS OUTSIDE THE US THE ONLY COST CONDUCIVE WAY TO DO THEM DUE TO THE HUGE COST OF SHIPPING INTERNATIONALLY!
Thank you!
Regards from Mexico city.

Hi Lorrie; I wanted to thank you for the exemplary service that you provided me today. I deal with customers on a daily basis and I realize that at times it is challenging but I must say that you are truly an example of what great customer service is all about. Not only are you a model for people regarding what great customer service is but you are an even nicer person and genuine at that. I can’t thank you enough for your assistance today. You have a customer for life.

Wow! Pintech honors their warranty, I'll have to put this on FaceBook. I have dealt with other companies that don't honor their advertised warranty, it's very annoying and hard to enforce.
Thank you very much Lorrie, I am now a loyal Pintech customer.

Lorrie,
I just wanted to take the time to email you and thank you for everything you have done for me. I got a chance to "test drive" the new stuff you sent me this weekend and I couldn't be happier with it all ... it took a little tweeking with the positioning of the sensor on the cymbals but I finally have them just right and that 12" CC is AMAZING. I couldn't believe how accurate and responsive it is. So now all I have left to replace is the last 3 of my tom pads with some CC's as well but that of course will have to wait until the bank account allows for that. I was going to ask one question though .. I found out with the 12" that my rack that I have for the ions was not quite sturdy enough for the weight of the 12" (I picked up a snare stand from a local store and that worked perfectly for that one) but just thinking ahead i might have to get the neccesary hardware from you as well to mount them. My question was about the mounting hardware ... will it fit with my rack that I have now? I dont have the exact diameter of the tubing that I have but I would assume that it is a pretty standard size right? But I guess I can burn that bridge when I get there. Again Lorrie ... Thank you so much for all your help .. I can tell you that you have gained a lifetime customer! I appreciate it!

Donn Parent I've been using my PinTech kit since 98. Still looks and plays like day 1. Some shots are up in my drum pics. It's the original kit Pintech put out that was road worthy. I believe its close to 300 shows and endless studio use on them. Purely the best drums.

Just picked up a DM10 myself. I use it with concert cast tom pads, PC series cymbals and a Hart Hand Hammered snare. I too am impressed with this module. I also own a Yamaha DT Xtreme III kit. I paid 3 times as much for my Yamaha kit 1 year ago and I'm seriously considering selling in order to pick up a new DM10/Pintech kit. Not only does the DM10 sound as good or better than my Yamie, it's easier (for me) to program. I also prefer the feel and sound of my Pintech pads and cymbals to the yamahas.
Alesis DM10 Module, Pintech Concert Cast Toms, Hart snare, Pintech clear PC series cymbals. Aslo own a Yamaha DTXtreme IIIand several accoustic kits with Sabian AAX cymbals.

Condensed down!
Lorrie ... OK so after a couple of weeks of testing on my end and research online I think I know exactly what I need but its not something EXACTLY you offer on the website.
So the notation on the PC and ZB cymbals about how its not for heavy hitters concerns me. I think I might be considered a heavy hitter but I dont exactly know for sure but I definitely dont want to get them and find out I am and crack/break them. I saw that the ZB cymbals were just the PC cymbals with a rubber coating ... Is there anyway to get the TC cymbals with that same rubber coating or even better the TC cymbals with just half the cymbal with a rubber coating (taking the place of the foam strike pad essentially)?
So I am looking for these cymbals of course for my ion kit for Rock Band but here's the thing ... I ONLY use them for RB. I am not looking for any high end cymbals with fancy bells and whistles. After using the the Mad Catz cymbals for the standard RB kit (which are better suited to be used as an oversized coasters in my opinion) and the stock Ion cymbals, I have fallen in love with the sensors that you include with the TC cymbals and the replacements that you already sent me. They work PERFECTLY while playing the game not missing ONE note ... I cant say enough good things about them to people I play with about how accurate they are. So the triggering portion of the cymbal experience is perfect but its the durability and longevity of the actual playing surface that I still dont have quite right.
SO WE SENT HIM SOME ZB RUBBERS TO PUT ON HIS TC CYMBALS
WOW ... so I can't begin to tell you how perfectly this setup works!!
So after a little playing around with the pieces you sent me I have it setup just right now ... I put the stock strikepad offcenter just a little bit as to not hit the cymbal directly above the sensor ... if i were hitting the cymbal at 6 o'clock the sensor is about at 8 o'clock and it allows for just the right amount of sensitivity but doesnt create cross-talk as I experienced before. After putting the rubber disc in place on top of the stock strikepad I found it was triggering just right and actually is quieter than the setup that I am currently using AND this is definitly a long term solution. I can see that rubber pad lasting longer than my game console haha! I am super satisfied BUT .... not done yet.
So after seeing several reviews online I now have a new desire from Pintech ... a concertcast 12" to replace what I am now using for my snare pad.
Lorrie I can't say thank you enough.
I appreciate all that you do .. Thanks again!
March 6, 2011
I appreciate that Lorrie! I know I'll be sticking with my Pintech cymbals so I could definitely use a spare. Good luck with the recovery process.

We just got off the phone, and I said I'd send an email telling you how much I love my Pintech ConcertCast pads.
I'm a big fan of playing on mesh pads - I much prefer them to either rubber pads or acoustic drum heads. I've owned several brands, but when I got my first Pintech ConcertCast pad - a 10" dual zone - and I took it out of the box, I loved the look of it, the feel, the metal shell. And when I played it, it felt great - light and responsive. Everyone has their own preference when it comes to which brand of mesh heads they prefer, but I am a huge fan of Pintech heads.
In fact, I sold my other mesh pads, so now all my toms and my snare are Pintech, and I love playing 'em.
The other part of a great product is great support, and that's what I've found at Pintech: support that's as helpful for the used pads I got as for the new ones. I look forward to talking to you on the phone when I have a question or need something, and Brian also takes good care of me. My thanks to you and to everyone at Pintech!

Just received my new Duallist D4 Today, With only 20 mins of playtime so far, I am very impressed. i knew that the pedal was big, but holy crap, I was actually amazed at the monster i unpacked :) Very sturdy and durable looking for sure. The action of the pedal is very quick and smooth. Its going to take me a bit to get all the nuances of the pedal, but so far, well worth the cash.

Lorrie,
I installed my new triggers last night and got to play the set this morning. I actually had to go into the trigger and instrument settings and decrease the sensitivity. I can't believe the difference in touch and responsiveness! Thank you very much! I will be sending my Visu-lite HHs for upgrade later today. Just so you know, I noticed that the issue with the responsiveness of the HHs was not my HH stand as I originally thought. The controller is actually sticking a little when retracting and it may need to be refurbished. If this affects my upgrade price just let me know. Thank you again!

Lorrie,
Received all. New cymbal triggers work great & easy to install!
Replaced hyperhat trigger/foam, but no improvement. Checked cable. Then discovered I had somehow switched to Hat 7 in the Alesis instead of Hat 6. Switched back to Hat 6 and no problem...had open hat again. So, probably didn’t need the new trigger, but it’s good to have it replaced anyway. The old one was deformed.
DB10 controller looks good. I will replace it at church this weekend and ship back to you the EZ module & the hi hat cymbal repair kit on Monday.
I still love my Pintech drums and am continuing to upgrade the kit
Also, I helped my Church to purchase a used Pintech kit (budget was very limited) locally which I now play. It’s amazing the positive response the congregation has given, they really love the drums added to the music.

ROCK BANDERS ARE USING PINTECH TO REPLACE COMPONENTS ON THEIR GAMES HERE IS WHAT SEVERAL OF THEM HAD TO SAY!
Sid Kafizz
I got my TC10, plus a TC14 last week, and I've had a little time to try them out - maybe 15 songs, plus a couple of hours of lesson practice.
First off - I have real problems getting used to having more things to hit. I went from a stock ION with 2 'thunky' cymbals (one as the yellow/hat, one on the right as green/crash), to the present setup: TC10 is yellow/hat, TC14 is left green/crash, and the ION thunkers are on the right side as blue/ride and another green/crash. The first couple of songs were a nightmare of missed hits, flying sticks, and loud profanity. My scores are down again, but I'm slowly adjusting to the additional targets. I think that I'll be playing with the positioning a lot as the next few weeks go by.
Performance: Both of the Pintechs are perfect, registering every hit I manage to land.
Feel: I like the TC10, especially after using the ION cymbal as yellow for so long. It's very quiet, and gives me reasonably good feel. I've clamped it down pretty tightly, but it still spins a bit. I tried the TC14 as blue/ride first, but didn't like it there - it's so thin/light that it just doesn't work well as a ride. As a crash it works better - it's much less noisy than the ION cymbal, and as I said before, dead accurate.
Buying from Hope was painless, though it would've been nice to get some sort of acknowledgement of the order. I ordered on a Sunday or Monday (the mind of this 46 year old plastic rocker is not as sharp as it used to be) and on Wednesday, there was a box on my doorstep. The order was well packed everything was there. I would also recommend that anyone buying new cymbals/mounts also get some cymbal felts if you don't already have some lying around. They come in real handy!

I actually have a full Visu-lite set for my Ion/Pintech kit. I say Ion/Pintech because a majority of my stuff now is mostly pintech. The only stuff left that's Ion is the Rack, the Brain, and the 3 toms. My snare and cymbals are all Pintech. I use the Visu-lite series because they are pretty much unbreakable with normal use. I was taking chunks out of my PC and TC series cymbals.
For the average Ion user, anything over the TC series is overkill. Me on the other hand, use my Ion kit with a Roland drum brain nearly an hour or two everyday. I really wanted quality cymbals that looked cool, worked great, and moved like real cymbals. The Visu-lite series fills all of that for me. On top of that I wanted the feel of a real snare and hi-hats. The Pintech 2 piece hi-hat set works and feels amazing. So does their 14" snare as well.
That's just my 2 cents.

It looks like my package shipped directly from Pintech in South Carolina, so maybe there was just a simple packing error on the company's end.
That's the bad news. The good news is I tried the single cymbal I got as Green/crash... and I like it. I had no problems simply popping off the ION stock cymbal and replacing it with the Pintech on the standard ION mount. I'm having no problems with spinning, even without extra felts or sleeves. I ordered the mounting felts and sleeves from Guitar Center and they haven't arrived yet, but I don't think I'll need them.
MY FINDINGS USING A PINTECH TC-14 AS GREEN/CRASH:
sticks: Vic Firth 7aN
I'll agree with others that the Pintech 14" feels light and somewhat flimsy, especially when compared to the heavy stock ION cymbal. I feel the noise (decibels) of striking the Pintech is a little softer compared to the ION stock cymbal, and the sound of the TC14 is less annoying. I would describe the noise of the Pintech as a lower, duller "whomp", as opposed to the higher, sharper "twack" of the stock ION cymbal.
Rebound, or lack thereof, of the TC14 is identical the TC10... the stick doesn't bounce off the Pintechs nearly as much as the stock ION cymbal. I haven't set up a TC14 as a ride yet, but rebound is probably the one thing I think I'll miss with the Pintech. This feature doesn't really matter as much using it as a crash cymbal -- and I found "riding the crash" to be fine.
OTOH, the TC14's sensitivity and accuracy (my most important criteria) is perfect. I'm very happy with the Pintech's performance, and now I'm looking forward to Rock Band 2's velocity feature returning to the ION Drum Rocker even more!
All in all, I like the TC14 as a crash. Once I hear back from Hope Drums as to where my other cymbal is, I'll post a second report on using the TC14 as a Blue/Ride.
FOLLOW-UP:
I heard back from Brian at Hope Drums -- he looked into the missing cymbal in my shipment, acknowledged the error at Pintech's end, apologized and sent me the rest of my order immediately. Errors happen, and what's important is how the error is handled: both Hope Drums and Pintech handled it immediately and professionally, so a big thumbs up to them.
MY FINDINGS USING A PINTECH TC-14 AS BLUE/RIDE:
...pretty much exactly like above for Green/Crash. If it had improved rebound it would be perfect, but after "riding" the Pintech TC14 for a couple hours, the rebound isn't as bad as I feared. I'm very happy with all 3 cymbals, and feel I have a complete "kit" now.
PROS:
-spot on accurate
-perfect sensitivity
-not quite as loud as stock ION cymbals
-installs fine on the ION stock cymbal mount without extra hardware (no spinning)
-durable... after much abuse, all 3 Pintechs still look almost brand new.
CONS:
-very little rebound
-cosmetically below average, flimsy to the touch
Here's a pic of my current ION setup (Omega w/ practice pad and 3 Pintechs). A big shoutout to David Shek for bring this fine product to our attention, and Brian at Hope Drums for honest and reliable delivery of the Pintechs.
END OF THE INPUT FROM THE ROCK BANDERS! THESE GUYS GIVE SOME VERY IN DEPTH INFORMATION! THANKS GUYS!

Thank you so much for the great customer service! This is seriously the best I've ever gotten from any company. I will not forget this & will make sure my current roster of 75 drum students as well as the previous 150 I still converse with will know how awesome you & Pintech have been. Pintech makes great products too. I am proud to own a set & there will be many referrals from my end for sure.
I just sent the payment via paypal. I'll send a message back when I redue the trigger. I appreciate the reason why it didnt work as well, I can pass that onto students who may have issues in the future. Thanks again!!!

For the "Whatever It's Worth" department at Pintech:
I enjoyed about 6 hours playing my new Pintech Conversion set last weekend, a wonderful experience. This meets all the criteria of eliminating open mics in the mix to power the drums, and allows a smaller drum set footprint for tight venues.
Reading the manual was tough as can be expected for an old drummer....but I finally discovered the rational and was able to dial-in the TD-12 to great satisfaction. Had another drummer and a sound tech help me adjust the tones, including through the stage amp.
The band members really like the sound and particularly the stable volume output. I find myself now watching bands on TV wondering who is using a conversion kit also. This is a great idea and I'm very happy to have made this discovery for myself. My poor ole vintage Ludwig acoustic set is pretty to look at, but........
In the stage plan I use a headset from the TD-12 for my monitor and this mixes exactly with the drum output so I get the best timing when playing to impromptu changes from the front man. Lotsa fun going on here, really thank Lorrie and all the good folks at Pintech for bringing me up to speed.
Merry Christmas to all,

I will do my best to get some good pictures emailed to you.
Thank you,

December 12, 2010
Hi,
My name is Jason and I was just reading the testimonial on your
website-the one that is so good that it is kept at the top of the page? I
think I have a better story than that with my drums! I don't play out or
in a band to top any of that, but, I think it's pretty close to well my
drums have held out over these last few years. If interested, I can email
you from my yahoo! account and give you the low down? With pics? Back in
2004 I started with a four piece kit plus three cymbal triggers and a drum
module(Alesis), on a deal from amazon.com. And it quickly grew to 24
triggers with two drum modules-looking at adding another module for MORE
TRIGGERS. To this very day(12/12/10) they are all still working fine.
Minor repairs here and there, but none the less, all still works! This is
going from military life to civilian life; packed up and stored for a
year, unpacked, played, packed up for another year, unpacked, still
works.................I play/have been playing everyday for at least two
hours on these and they keep going.............
October 24, 2010
Hi, Lorrie -
How come I didn't upgrade my triggers long ago? I installed the new ones today in my ConcertCast drums, and the improvement in performance is incredible. Wow! I can do rolls without interruptions; I can play delicately or harder, and these triggers work great.
My VisuLites arrived last week, but I haven't played them yet. (I will when the boom arms I ordered arrive.) I have a feeling they will bring that part of my set alive as well. Drumming is fun again!
Am I the only Pintech customer who was not aware of improvements to triggers? I hope other customers whose ConcertCast drums still have the old triggers learn about the new technologies Pintech has developed. Honestly, I briefly thought that I might have to go back to acoustic drums or consider another brand. Now I can enjoy my Pintech set the way it was meant to be played.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks,
Don

Hi, Lorrie.
I'm speechless! I made a special request, and you gave me more than I asked for! Now I'm trying to figure out how to replace the rest of my kit--there's nothing wrong with my Hart pads, but I want Pintech everything now! I'll definitely end up with that eventually! :)
Thanks again!!!

Lorrie I did want to email you and let you know that I did get a chance to test the setup that I described and it worked like a charm. During gameplay the game itself is just looking for a trigger no matter how hard the cymbal is hit. So with the new placement of the sensor the strength of the hit is lessened and it doesnt cross talk now unless i REALLY pound the cymbal which I dont do anyway. Again, thank you very much for your reply and help I very much appreciate it and i will be sure to recommend the Pintech cymbals to any and all that will listen.
Thank you so much! Trenton

Hello Lorrie,
It's been a while, to be exact, since January 2008. Hope all is well for you during this economic melt down we are having. I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that the ROAD PRO set I had bought from you at the 2008 NAMM show is working as flawlessly now as the day I had purchased them. Almost 3 years and not even one single problem. This set takes so much use & abuse from so many artists in my studio. I am truly amazed at the quality and construction of your e drums. The Hart Dynamic set that I had previously started having trigger problems after the first 3 weeks and got worse from there. This Pintech kit happens to be one of the best overall investments I had ever made for my studio! To you, I am eternally grateful.
Thanks again for all of your help and assistance.
Sincerely,
Lee Labellarte

Lorrie,
The replacement trigger arrived yesterday, was swapped out, and is working great! I was surprised when I opened the box to find 2 triggers inside. I now have a spare should anything happen in the future.
Thanks so much for getting the part shipped out so quickly. I really appreciate it.
The purchase process and support of your products have both been excellent.
Best Regards,
Matt

Hi Lorrie,
Just wanted to send you some pics that I promised you.
I LOVE my new visulites.
As you can see I need 1 more… I think a matching 14 crash but adding the choke because I found I really need it.
Can you help me replace that super trigger \ surge crash on the left of my kit?
I am also looking to replace the Tama starcaster hyperdrive shells with some clear acrylic shells, that will really complete the look for the whole kit
Thank you.

Hi all. I recently dumped my trusty Roland TD-10 and changed to an Alesis DM10 module. The Roland worked well with all my Pintech triggers, Nimrods and Visulite cymbals, but right out of the box the Alesis DM10 is outstanding. It programs similar to the DM5 but with better sounds and more control and an easier to use panel. I had a great snare sound in only a few minutes and the Visulite High Hats took about 5 seconds to calibrate. There are so many good kits that I will not have to do much programming, although I have a habit of continually tweaking a kit. The Vel-curve function is much more usable than what was offered by Roland and the "dynamic articulation" is very apparent when you get everything set up correctly. This module is a winner in my book and at half the price of the TD-12, I think it is a much better value. The only two things I don't like is that the inputs for accessories are phono plugs when most everything out there is 1/4 inch or mini and there is no volume control for the accessory input. For me this is not too big a deal, I'll just run a mini mixer in front of the accessory input on stage as I use the headphone out on the drum module for my overall band monitor. I am still learning the modules and will re-post when I know more. I have both Roland triggers (PD-120 and PD-8) in my studio and my DIY Pintech converted kit. The Pintech triggers seem to work much better with the DM10 than the Roland gear. Just an observation.

Hi Lorrie,
I received my snare trigger kits and was able to upgrade my ConcertCasts to dual zone triggers without any problems.
Thanks again!
Looking forward to the new Cymbals (china, crash and ride).

Thanks for the info Lorrie! This is awesome! So, basically I don't need to do anything like fill out a warranty form since you have my information when I purchased the trigger this year, right?
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Hi Lorrie,
I have an old tour elite 10 piece that I am getting ready to sell. Although the cymbals work the dual zone functionality is pretty spotty. If I sell the kit will the buyer be able to purchase a warranty and replace the cymbals or must the used gear be sold through you?
I owe a ton to this drum set. I would never have been able to learn to play if I didn't have the kit.
Thanks,

Thank You Too Lorrie,
I wouldn't have ever found you guys if it wasn't for a friend of mine that I help write music with that lives in Memphis, TN....
he has an older version of the same bass drum I have, his has that older white protector pad, and uses it with a trapkat like I am doing also...
I always like the midi response he was getting with his Concertcast Bass drum... :-) triggering the software into cubase as a VSTi, and then it sounds like we're using real drums but actually better I think.. maybe a real drummer might not? but I am loving it...
take care, and thanks again for your support...
Mark M......
Thanks Again,
just wanted to let ya know that your recommendation of the adhesive spray worked and I am able to play the drum at least :-)
will call ya back if I run into any trouble when I get the new stuff...
you guys and gals are great... thanks so much.... it's nice to have someone you can talk to on the phones to get the right info and resolve problems with the gear these days it's unheard of...
usually you end up in endless loops with a voicemail system till your ready to pull your hair out and end up screaming and throwing the phone down.... :-)
I wish I had the funds to buy a full set of your drums and get the real feel of a kit... but not possible at this time....
I am still using my old trapkat and using the Concertcast Bass Drum to trigger my bass drum, and a hat pedal for the hats trigger... and all other drums samples played off the trapkat... works well but it's not like being behind a kit...
as I mentioned to ya on the phone, I am not a drummer, but trying to learn myself with the trapkat and all the drum software out there now...
It's a lot of fun, and I don't have to worry about using mic's to get the sound like in the old days of my Tascam 8 track reel to reel machine...???
take care, and I sure appreciate your personal support and knowledge of your products...

Just a little shout to Lorrie over there at Pintech.. When i first ordered my set of cymbals from Pintech, i didn't realize they were located so close to my home town. I was in a hurry, ordered them express, paid the extra amount and waited. The next day she calls me to let me know she changed the shipping and explained why. Not many companies do that sort of thing.
The other day i ordered a repair kit thinking since i was kind of hard on the cymbals i should pay for it. She immediately refunded the cost and sent an extra one. Now i have two coming that are actually a little heavier duty than the original. All i can say is wow! Best service i've gotten from anyone in a long time! Thanks again Lorrie, i will definitely look to you guys first whenever i need electronic drum parts, kits, etc... Rock on!!
January 19, 2010
WOW, you guys did it again! I received my new 1300RYC Visulite hi-hats yesterday and they are fantastic. I just pulled my hi-hat stand out of the closet (I have not used my acoustic set in over 4 years), set the new hi-hats on the stand, plugged in the wires I used for the old set up and started to play. No module adjustment was necessary! Right away I was more comfortable with the solid feel. This natural movement allows me to play faster with less effort. In our band (Red Hot Smokin' Aces)I do a lot of fast eighth notes, sixteenth notes and triplets. I never complained about the single cymbal hi-hat system as I was well used to it, but the slight movement tended to slow the stick response. The Visulite 1300 RYC set up is rock solid and fast, fast, fast. I also noticed a couple of functions natural to the hi-hat that were lacking in my single cymbal set up like the ability to "splash" the hats at the top of the foot stroke. Very cool when you need it. Thank you Pintech for coming through with yet another cool product. Just love you guys-drumslinger dave

Thanks, It is so good to have a company that will listen. I cannot get anywhere with Roland, Yamaha or Alesis. I can't even find a human being working for them that will answer a question. Everything is all computer recordings and programs. I took my newly wrapped all chrome set to a local club last week (we usually play casinos) and thought I would receive a few compliments on how beautiful it was. All that people talked about was the rubber dukkie! LOL-d

So, the Red Hot Smokin' Aces settled into one of the biggest Nevada casinos this week for a 6 day gig. I have to use the house drum kit, a TD-20 full six piece. After the first set I had to go to the car and bring in my Visulite cymbals. The Rolands felt like playing on rubber covered cardboard. Two of the house cymbals had triggering problems. I just love my Pintech Visulites. They work and look good. My 16th notes just sail across the surface. Thanks again for a product that is above the others.

In response to the new custom logo drum stick holder
Hey Lorrie -
I've got to say that I LOVE the stick holder. I've just gotta find a way to make it light up or something... I'm the only person that can see it enough to appreciate it! :) And much thanks for the keychain. It went right onto my keys. Now I can never claim to be without a drum key again.
Thanks a lot Lorrie... as always, you ROCK!

Greetings from the road! So, I'm sitting here in a Nevada hotel room doing the kind of things a musician does inbetween stage time, like add up how many hours I've been behind the E-drums this year. It has been about six months since I traded a pile of Roland gear for Pintech gear. Man, am I happy or what! Over 500 hours on stage with my Visu-lites, Pintech triggers, silent trim, Nimrods, k-3 Ergo bass drum and THE DUCKIE. All parts have been superb. In January I was using 2 TD-6 modules and the Pintech gear was great on the TD6V's, but I needed more outputs so I switched to a TD-10 module and the Pintech gear became even better. The Visu-lite cymbals are by far the best on the market in my opinion. They feel like brass, sound anyway you want them to and look fantastic on stage, especially in good stage lights. Reflecting all over the place as they swing. I use a lot of cross stick rim shots and the band demands a solid "clock" for the cross stick. The Nimrod I have mounted next to my snare is perfect for that. A perfect sound everytime while keeping my hand position in the "open" style. In March I decided to build a ten inch bass drum to match my kit. Although it looked good and sounded good, in a few days I busted through the head (not a Pintech) and swithed back to the k-3 Ergo bass drum. I couldn't believe how much the better the action and playability is. I'm sticking with the K-3 from now on. Built like a tank and still lightwieght. The silent trim has cleaned up my mistakes and the Pintech replacement triggers I installed in my Pearl conversions have performed to perfection. Thank You Pintech for being there for the working musician and caring about what we go through. Your products are the best! Now if we just had a Pintech module with 18 inputs, six outputs, a dozen good sounding drum set patches and 50 percussion sounds (I just don't need electric drills and human voices), we would be in Nirvana. By the way, my Duckie says hi, he wants to know why I keep him on windchime duty, but I just tell him to shut up and hit him again at the end of the next slow song. (I think this hotel room is getting to me).-Ddrumslinger Dave

I love my Pintech drums because that’s exactly what they are, my unique set. The guys at Pintech have worked hand in hand helping me build my set to meet my drumming needs and personality. No other manufacturer was able to provide that level of personal service.
The Pintech system of Triggers, Pads, Cymbals and Rack system has held up well under both studio and road conditions. The possibilities are endless depending on the drum module you choose to employ. As a drummer for over 30 years I personally recommend Pintech because of the quality, dependability, personal service and support they provide. If you want to be the best then play the best, Pintech.

Jeffery here about Pintech, man what can i say except many many thanks to Lorrie L and staff at Pintech. I've been using Pintech products since 2004 live and in the studio. I've been a weekend warrior and beat the crap out of the pintech pads. If something has worn out like triggers or mesh heads, it's just a phone call to you guys and i don't get charged a fricken arm and leg for replacement parts or mesh heads like R*****. I've been using the Alesis USB trigger interface W/BFD Lite, the concertcast pads and self made trigger cymbals, it's been awsome and the pads work well with the interface with adjustments, they work well with any module. The concert cast pads are built like tanks, you can replace triggers and heads yourself with no problems. I can't say enough good things about your staff and help over the years and kudos to Lorrie for putting up with me, we did have some shipping problems, but all was resolved. American made American played, buy American. Yeeah R***** keeps coming out with new E stuff, who cares, i would check into Pintech first, better customer service, replacement parts at a lower cost, rock solid pads, i don't think i have to say anymore. Thank you Pintech, you ladies and gents freakin Rock. Jeffery Urvalic 2009

Lorrie,
Just wanted to say that speaking to you today was a 110% pleasure! In todays fast-paced world, it is SO amazing and refreshing to do business with a company that truly cares about each and every one of their customers and giving them the individual consideration they deserve. I love you guys. I am a Pintech customer for life, and was from the first purchase I made. Your products are consistently high quality, and there is no doubt that you provide the best customer service and product guarantee in the electronic drums industry. Keep doing what you do best! Cheers,

Two years ago I moved into an apartment and knew that there was no way I could continue to play my acoustic drum set without causing an angry mob of neighbors to come after me. So I looked around at a lot of different electronic drum kits and I did not like how small most of them were. After doing some research on the web I came across Pintech and discovered that they could convert my acoustic kit to be electric. I was very excited because this meant that I could keep the feel of an acoustic kit but have the silence of an electric kit. Converting my kit was the best decision I had ever made because my roommates were happy, my neighbors were happy, and I was happy.
I have since moved out of that apartment and into a house but I still love my Pintech kit. It's so awesome to be able to control the volume of my drums to where I can have them as loud or as quiet as I want. I am now expanding my kit to have an extra bass drum and floor tom, and of course I'm sending them to Pintech to be converted.
I also must add that Pintech has some of the best customer service I have ever encountered.

Hey Lorrie, Once again I'd like to say THANKS!! for the deal on the replacement mesh heads. YOU ARE SO GREAT TO WORK WITH. I've been playing Pintech Drums for over six years and I must say they have been the greatest. I play almost every night and gig every week and just do not have any problems. I think the best thing is that you guy's have always been there for me. That really counts alot. Take care and THANKS.
October 28, 2008
Way to go! I like that you encourage recycling your products with a trade up option. Not only is it a good deal for the customer, but you then take responsibility for your products - after they've been sold. I think McDonald's should be charged for every piece of litter with their logo on it.. but that's another story.
I really am glad to see companies not just 'fire and forget' their products.

Just to let you know the drums are working out great. We played two shows this weekend as well as shows for each weekend since the first week of Sept and all of the pads performed flawlessly, especially the e-Gig kicks. I'm actually using a 30 year old Tama Camco bass pedal on the e-Gig...I've had the pedal since I was 8.
I get lots of compliments on my setup...Pintech all the way!!!

an update.....After adding the mesh snare and toms I added more Pintech gear to my TD-3. A 8" Gig mesh kick pad was the first thing. I changed the trigger type on the module and loosened the head a bit and it was fine. It works well, doesn't walk. I then added a 14" Visulite crash. My TD-3 was a much nicer set up now.
Then came the big upgrade, a Gibraltar rack, a TD-12 module then new cymbals. I got the 18" 3-way triggering Visulite ride as well as the Visulite hi-hats. It's a quantum leap over what I started with. It's a full sized kit now. The Visulite hi-hats are so much more realistic. I never liked the Roland ride with that sideways way of triggering the bell sound.
I sold the TD-3 to someone I work with. He's interested in getting a Dingbat. That's what started me with Pintech. I've got a great kit now and saved quite a bit of money by going with the Pintech gear, great gear, great prices and excellent tech support from Brian and Ron.
I highly recommend Pintech gear. Anyone considering it should take the plunge. I took a bit of a leap of faith on the drums and cymbals as I couldn't try them before I bought them. Buy them, you'll love them.
Kudos on the new website and Brian's videos. I still have a couple of inputs to use on the TD-12, so one of these
days I'll be getting even more Pintech stuff.Michael Brady

I purchased a complete set of Pintech electric drums about 18 months ago. They have out preformed all other kit drums I have played. These Pintech drums have a “studio sound” which I have not been able to achieve before. After 40 years playing, I have at last found the perfect blended sound necessary in my multiple music genre. The technological assistance given by Ron has been exceptional when any problem has arisen in programming the Roland TD-20 computer. Any programming problem is quickly resolved with a phone call. Lorrie, the first line information consultant when anyone calls the home office, has been a pleasure to consult with. Would I make the same purchase again???.... Without a doubt ...YES!
Thank you,

Hope all is great out your way . Just wanted to drop in say that Pintech E-gig kit is still working great , and I have a few drummers coming out in the next few weeks to check our demonstration kit out . We'll see how things go , but I can say all the gear on the kit still works like new months & months after its arrival out here . It's great to see quality products like this out there for e-drummers so keep up the great work everyone over at Pintech :)

Name is Don
I have 4 hotlids from you (and they work perfectly on my DTXTREME IIs) but I have a sliding issue if I tilt my drums at an angle. Other than that issue, NO COMPLAINTS. They are awesome!! So, if you can send me however many of the new style clips you can , then hopefully that will help fix the sliding issue. I am surprised that no one else has that problem. I would be interested in knowing what they do to resolve that issue (unless they don't sit them on top of an acoustic set and just use the hotlids mounted on a stand)
Thanks

HI Lorrie,
I followed the instructions and registered an account on your new website. Please let me know if I did it right and send me the gift certificate.
The email below does not say who I should send my feedback to so I'll give it to you.
Given the choice between great products or a great website, I'm glad Pintech errs on the side of great products. What makes your site difficult for consumers is that someone has to know your product line in order to be able to navigate the site. I don't know what "series" kick drum I want. But if you show me a page with pictures of all of the kick drums you offer with prices underneath them I'll click on the ones I'm interested in finding out more about and I'll probably buy one. The only reason why I purchased from your site in the past was because of desperation. The new site doesn't improve navigation. It just looks busier and more confusing. I'm saying this not as a developer who develops shopping carts and paypal integration for online retailers but as a consumer who loves shopping online. I'll gladly choose no sales tax, free shipping and delivery of large packages to my door over paying sales tax and taxi cab fares to shop at Guitar Center or Sam Ash here in NYC.
If you're going to make only one change, show pictures of the products, not people using them or the series logo. If you're going to make a second change then show the prices under or next to the pictures. You can organize the pictures by series on a page but don't force me to pick which series before I the the pictures and prices.
(AS PER YOUR SUGGESTION THE CART HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED WITH YOU SUGGESTED CHANGES AS SEVERAL MADE THE SAME SUGGESTION)
Help me shop:
I want something like the E-Cocktail Kit (734797102578) kit but with the Gig KD (734797101793) drum instead of the K-3 Ergokick. Actually I don't need any of the tubular pads. I'll also want a second cymbal arm for a Roland cymbal that I already own. Lastly, I'd like to upgrade the single zone crash to a dual zone ride with bell. I like that the system is small enough for me to use in my 1 bedroom NYC apartment.
Thanks,
Doron

E-Gig Kit
You guys really deserve a "hats off" for the E-Gig kit. We're recording our next record totally digital, and the E-Gig is the perfect way to go for our drums. It handles the BFD2 environment perfectly, with clarity and precision. We expanded the kit with a dual-zone ride and another small cymbal for an effects splash. For the cost and the quality of your gear, we're really excited to have found you guys! Keep up the great work!

I recently bought a Pintech DIngbat from Brian of Hope Drums. I
hooked it up, it worked right away, no muss, fuss or bother. I
hooked it up to my RolandTD-3. It works great, it's so nice to be
able to add another sound, cowbell, another cymbal etc. It's a great
little product.
Today UPS delivered my new 12" Pintech snare, a 12" tom and two 10"
toms. I ordered these from Brian again. Again, hooked them up, no
muss, fuss, bother and they just about worked. At first I couldn't
get any rim shots on the snare, but later noticed that the jack
wasn't quite all the way into the drum. After fully connecting the
snare, it worked just fine. The snare works just fine, it's nice to
have a bigger one. I don't notice a huge difference between the
Pintech and the Roland PDX-8. THe Pintech is just as responsive. I
saw a review somewhere (Musician's Friend maybe) and that reviewer
thought the Roland was a little better.
The big difference is in the toms. The mesh heads are SO much better
than the rubber pads on the Roland PD-8s. The mesh heads are so much
more responsive. The toms sounds are much better with the Pintechs.
You have a real gem in Brian. I've e-mailed him and he has been most
helpful in helping me decide what to get. I'll be dealing with him
more in the future. I want to get a mesh kick drum. I also want to
upgrade the cymbals someday too. Maybe someday I'll get a better
module.
So far I couldn't be happier with your gear.

To Whom It May Concern :
"MADE IN THE U.S.A." ! GOD BLESS PINTECH ! I recently purchased a Pintech E-Gig Set 2nd hand from Ebay for my daughter. Your Instructions for the Frame set up Online was a God Send ! It has the PINTECH EZ Module .. which I want to Upgrade. I also would like to add an additional TOM, since it only has 2 right now. ALSO .. I'll be needing an Amplifier as well. Could you please send me some type of list of products that you have that I need to Upgrade this set ? I'll Not Only Need the Amp, Tom, Module .. But the Wires and Hooks or whatever go with them. Since I can Only Upgrade slowly (1 at a time) .. Do you suggest the Module Switch .. the 3rd TOM or AMP First. I'm looking forward to working with you to Upgrade this GREAT Quality "AMERICAN MADE" Product. Please e-mail me at my Personal mail which is ... since I hardly ever use the AOL Mail. Thanks A lot .. Cindy
I'm a very smart and savvy visionary (i know that's not very modest but i know what i know) and I see "ANY" company that has QUALITY Products like PINTECH could really "Play Up" MADE IN THE USA .. TO IMPROVE YOUR SALES ! I'm only sharing this with you since I see that your the GM of PINTECH (Good for You .. by the way). There are still "ALOT" of us out here (I'd guesstimate in the Hundreds of Thousands, at Least) who would let the "MADE IN THE USA" be the deciding factor when trying to decide between PINTECH or some other Foreign brand. It was MY deciding Factor .. I Almost bought a New Name Brand called "BORGI" until I found out that they are 100% MADE IN CHINA ! GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! Good thing I always ask that first. I'm Sure that your marketing Genius's can come up with some type of "GRABBBER". Have a Great day and I'll Definately get back to you on your Toms, Modules, etc. It will be a pleasure to work with you.
P.S. I Always Look for Anything I Buy these days to be MADE IN AMERICA ! To save AMERICAN jobs that extra cost is well worth it. PINTECH should pat itself on the Back for remaining in the U.S.A. and Not looking to OUTSOURCE !
(UNFORTUNATELY WE DO HAVE TO OUTSOURCE THE STANDARD ACOUSTIC DRUM HARDWARE THAT WE USE AND THE EZ MODULE, GIG KD AND GIG HYPERHAT)

Sweet!
Don't worry Brian, I am a bit on the folicalicular challenged (Bald) side myself. I did the same with a Y splitter and Toms 1 and Tom 2. I owe you both some pics of the kit I built with your help. Thanks so much. I will also spend some time on the various forums to spread the knowledge. I think it will help dispel some of the reports that you can't use this brain with Pintech stuff. I will also let the masses know that your customer service is top notch.
Thanks and all the best,
Jeff

Thanks so much, Lorrie! You are credit to Pintech. That right there is a difference from that other company that starts with R. The Road Pro is probably the kit I am going to go with. I can use the extra $1000 for gas money.
Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks Lorrie.
A long-time Roland guy, I am considering making the move to Pintech because I've heard (in the Vdrums forum, of all places) great things about your drums. Before buying an e-Session or RoadPro over the TD-20 I'm test driving a friend's e-Jam kit that's been in the garage a while with different brains and we can't figure out how to connect the hi-hat controller. Manuals are long gone. Do you have that as a downloadable PDF somewhere?
Thanks again and best,
Scott Stewart

Hey , thanks for the great electric kit you guys make .
I do have a problem regarding the cymbal. triggers almost all of them either dont work
anymore or are inconsistent.
I had a problem with the kick years ago and you took care of it to my surprise promptly .
I purchased it at guitar center about 5yrs or so.
I play these things often and am able to practice without my neighbors getting pissed off
more than when im playing in the band on my acoustic kit.
Im sure they are some of the first stuff you made for guitar centers and other stores.
The cymbal is a black plastic with yellowish rubber that is kinda coming off , that set aside
just wondering what I do from here or can you help me in the right direction?
I miss rocking out at 3am in the morning hour!
Thanks !

Hi Lorrie,
It's been a while sense our last contact. I Really Hope that this years 2008 WINTER NAMM was a Great Success for you guys. I know your new Novelty (Duck, Duck Boom) triggers must of really opened up some eyes - they are Fantastic Show Stoppers. By the way Lorrie, I want to thank you once again for going out of your way in bringing my drums to Austin during the 2007 SUMMER NAMM. I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out.

Hi Lorrie,
I just did (refurbished pre 2001 pads) the first pad and its fantastic, I like it! The adhesive has not even dried up
and i tried it for a minute, I cant believe what Ive been missing. Thanks a lot.
A question though, am I still entitled for future support in case i break the form or the heads?

I wanted to give a shout out about your great products. I purchased a CS8
SE (Woven Heads)kit in 2001 with a Roland TD-8 module in 2001 and it's
performance has been awesome! The products have held up EXTREMELY well! I
have used it consistently for practice and live performance throughout the
years. It's ironic that most of the musicians I have played with actually
prefer it to my accoustic set. This is despite the fact that they were all
VERY skeptical about it to begin with. Once they were "educated" to the
numerous advantages that electronic percussion offers, and opened their
ears, they were sold.
I did have a question about trigger replacement. As mentioned I have been
hammering these since 2001 and the trigging is starting to occasionally get
"spotty" or "hot". These Pads have the old style pyramid foam type bridge.
How do I get them replaced and how much?
Thanks!

Hi! I picked up some RS/5 triggers to mount them on Hasenfutz
practice pedals. They work great - by "great" I mean they work too
good. I'm running them into a Roland RMP-5 rhythm coach that has a
trigger input. However, the Roland doesn't have sensitivity
adjustments for the external triggers. I'm pretty electronically
savvy and can make cables and such. Is there a way I can 'dumb down'
the RS/5 to make it less sensitive? Can I make a cable and solder an
inline resistor to decrease the signal?
Thanks!!

Hello Pintechians! My name is Matt Chamberlain ( http://
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Chamberlain ) I am a drummer and i use
quite a bit of electronics in my rig. I have been using the Roland V
drum pads for about 8 years and just recently i was doing a session
and the producer had a little Pintech kit triggering some sounds on
his laptop... I played the pads and was blown away by the feel and
the construction of them...I was wondering how to get a few pads...I
basically just need a Kick-Hi-hat--Snare and a 1 random pad. I would
love to be a Pintech artist if you have room on your roster..Best

Hello,
I am an owner or several pintech products :) I must say that I enjoy them and they have given me great performance. I am considering purchasing some Ergo Kik pads for a multi pedal setup and would like to know the dimensions of the pad. Most specifically, how wide the pads are at their widest and narrowest points.
Thanks

Hi Folks,
Love your triggers on my acoustic kit! I'm using a
Yamaha DTX combined with the acoustic kit and having a
ball.
I recently got a new kit and went to transfer the
triggers but ruined the adhesive discs upon removal.
Is there something I can use like carpet tape or the
such that I can buy locally, OR do you sell the
replacement discs specific for the RS 5 triggers? I
need 8 plus a few back ups for the future.
Thanks!

Hello,
I recently purchased a large almost new drum kit on e-bay and with it I received the warranty card.
Am I entitled to any kind of warranty? (ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE A WARRANTY RENEWAL FROM US)
I currently am experiencing no problems and want to expand the kit even more.
I would appreciate a reply as to whether or not to return the warranty card.
This kit is tremendous by the way.
Thank you,

Hi Brian
Thanks very much more taking the time out of your day to help me out. I really appreciate it. Moving the eye bolt and setting to misc 1 trigger solved my problems. I am still playing around to get the best possible settings for me but your tips got me going in the right direction. BTW I went back and had a look at the instructions that came with the Hi-Hat and there it was staring me in the face with the eye bolt setup. I feel kind of dumb but a lesson has been learnt about reading instructions. You'd think that i would have learnt that by now at the age of 30 but hey like they say - "everyday is a school day".
Once again thanks and all the best.
Also thanks to you Lorrie for asking Brian to help me out - absolutely fantastic customer service!!!!!

Hi Lorrie,
Thanks for getting back to me so promptly. It turns out that there were 2 mono cables in the bunch and they happened to get plugged into the cymbals. So far the crash will choke beautifully, the ride however did not give both bow and bell but when I have more time I am going to check the settings on the module as it may have been changed. If the crash choke works as good as
it does I am sure the ride will as well.
So it is safe to say that if anyone wants to combine Pintech edrums with a discontinued Alesis DM Pro, it will indeed function flawlessly with any of the Dual trigger functions that the DM Pro has to offer. Likewise the snare and rim pop are working together
great and much more realistically than the Hart Professional series ever did.
Lastly, I wanted to say thank you for your help. This is the most important thing in business and yet there has not been a company out there that I could say "It has been a pleasure working with". The fact of the matter is that most companies are so involved with such a huge diversity of products ie. guitars, drums, motorcycles, etc. Between the mental midgets they hire to do customer service and the actual person who knows the answers, it leaves the consumer frustrated.
I am glad that Pintech is not be a giant corp. with a 15 inch thick book loaded with a million different products and can honestly say......It has been a pleasure working with you!
I am very happy with your product and I am sure as time goes by I will continue to be just as happy with it. Your service has given this industry what it has lacked for so long from so many.
You do care about the customer and because of this combined with your knowledge of product and the products quality and simplicity, I will always recommend your product be the choice to every one of my clients. I have absolutely nothing to gain by doing so, and I know any client that makes that choice will thank me for turning them in your direction.
If I can be of assistance to you in any way wether it be for web site service, market of your product here in Orange County and L.A. or anything at all, (except running for coffee over here and getting it to you over there) please do not hesitate to call or email.
We have a lot in common when it comes to the way in which we do business. It seems we still believe the customer comes first.

Hope you had a good flight back and all is well. I
wanted to thank you for your help at the NAMM Show and
remind you about the rim silencers for the kit that I purchased from you Sunday evening. I have set them up and already had many requests asking to try them out. So far all positive feedback and especially when compared to the "Broken Hart" set up that I previously had at the studio.

Lorrie,
OK you made my son's x-mas.
The brain is working as advertised and we had all of the parts to make it
go. We used Velcro to mount the brace to the Alesis brain like you said and it is holding TERIFIC.
The cables and the cymbal edges were great. He has jumped in and is playing the drums like a
mad man as long as he is on break. He really enjoys it.
Again thank you for all of your help with this as well as the past (I think
the future too).
Have a glorious, safe, happy, healthy and prosperous new year for you and
all of yours!

One customers response to the new Novelty Triggers
Hey Lorrie, C O N G R A T S!!!!
They are so Cool!!!
I bet that they can also be applied in music therapy to help children.
If you don't mind I'd like to tell Jeff and a couple of acts about these cool triggers.
Do you realize how many tunes these triggers would work in? Bird Dance, Rubber Ducky, Choo Choo Charlie, The leader of the pack, the list goes on when you look at the songs of the 50's and 60's and children's tunes. They make great show stoppers.
Can you imagine the audience participation? I mean these are GREAT-!!
Thanks,
Bill

Just so you know, we in the church band are very, very happy with the acoustic conversion. We love the idea of finally getting our noise under control, and still experiencing a relatively authentic feel and sound. It really has made the band better...a lot better.

Lorrie –
I have just received and installed the replacement Hi Hat controller box. It works flawlessly. I gave it a pretty good workout, with some good fast open and closed work a la “Birdland,” and it never failed to do what I expected. It feels surprisingly similar to a real pair of hihats! Hi Pintech.
I'm a proud owner of a used Pintech kit I picked up off of eBay! I'm not sure what line it is but for the most part it plays great.
I was reading in your forums regarding a trigger hot-spot issue and that you could request newer triggers that run about $10. From what I can tell the triggers are cylindrical in shape and do tend to have greater response if you hit the trigger dead-on.
Only the snare is dual triggered, there are no knobs near the output jacks as I've seen in newer models when researching your kits.
Any help you can provide would be great.

Lorrie,
You are the greatest thing since sliced bread! ""Some of you guys say the sweetest things""
Now that I’ve had a good time to work out on the kit, I LOVE it. The Tour Elite rig is damn near indestructible. (Aside from the minor damage that took place before I got the gear, of course…) The feel is wonderful and the responsiveness of the mesh head/drum combo is great. I seem to recall you saying that you aren’t necessarily an avid drummer (forgive me if I have that wrong…) but I’m wondering what the consensus is there at Pintech regarding the most popular cymbal option. I’d like to wind up with something that has a realistic (acoustic) cymbal feel/swing but that still has the nice quiet properties that the ZB has. Regardless of what I wind up doing with the other cymbals, I do think I’ll swap out the ZB hat to a Visulite or something comparable. The stiffness of the ZB hat has been the only thing that I still haven’t really gotten used to.
Well, thanks again Lorrie! Your customer service is second to none and your products are wonderful. I’m quite happy to have made the transition to Edrums with Pintech and I look forward to a long relationship with you and the company. (By the by, I’m happy to whip out a testimonial, should you ever want one…)
Many, many thanks,
John

Greetings from Wisconsin! I just bought a used kit with the EZ
module. The on button doesn't function properly. I'm going to send
it back to the guy I purchased if from and he said he would have "his
tech" fix it. I'm just wondering if the warranty is transferrable?
Of if I would be better off sending it to you? Or, how much to
upgrade to the EZ 2? The 1/4" snake also reeks of cigarette smoke
(the seller told me it hadn't been exposed...). How much to replace
the snake? It is also missing one of the winged screw/washer/nut
assemblies. How much to replace that? I know, I just should have
purchased a new one!! You make an awesome product and I'd like to
get it back to spec. Thanks a lot! Gregg

Thanks for the quick response. As an aside, I have to say that I absolutely love the Pintech drums! Their responsiveness and feel are amazing! They make me wonder why anyone still uses traditional acoustic drums... :)

August 10, 2007
Hi,
I was considering purchasing some of your drums. Particularly the concercast
series. Can you tell me if you have any information or experiences with your
drums working with the very new Alesis Trigger i/o which is a trigger to
midi converter? I am going to be using the drums to trigger samples in my
computer such as BFD fxpansion.
It's a toss up between your company and Hart drums. My main concern is feel,
triggering accuracy, and durability. What can u tell me that would sway my
decision to your company. Tammy
Tammy,
We worked very closely with Alesis when they were designing the Trigger IO to ensure that it would be fully compatible with our drums. They trigger beautifully with the IO. In fact we were beta testers for Alesis as we asked them to add certain functions and features to the IO so that it would also work with the dual zone cymbals which traditionally would not work with Alesis modules. They did a great job and I just recently came back from a trade show where we featured our drums with the IO.
We build quality and are truly American made. Our castings are cast here in the Greenville SC area. We do not import the shells and then just add triggers to them. We build to last. We have great customer support and you will get a live person when you call us.
Our warranty is second to none. No other company allows you the ability to retro upgrade and trade in your old out of date gear for new at 1/2 off of retail as technology improves. That is a feature we offer as part of your lifetime limited warranty. As part of your warranty you also get reduced pricing on your wear and tear replaceable items and we make repairing your drums as user friendly as possible. We always work to find ways to reduce cost for our drummers along with providing the highest quality possible.
According to our drummers and professionals like Rob Bourdon of Linkin Park the feel, triggering accuracy and durability of our drums can't be beat.
Thanks Lorrie.
That is a very convincing email. I couldn't ask for a better response.
Sounds like I am headed in the right direction with Pintech!
Thanks,
Tammy

Lorrie,
I'd have to say I'm 99.99 percent happy with the conversion you performed on my drumset. The 0.01 percent relates to the fact that you didn't cover the rim on the snare drum...but as it turns out, I don't really think it will be necessary.
I'll be moving up to my very own TD-20 within weeks, if not days. I'm wondering if you could provide me with a list of optimal trigger settings for snare, kick, tom, cymbals (dual zone "bell" ride, and damp-able crashes), and especially, the hi-hat cymbal.
The reason I ask is that I remember seeing a bunch of different types of trigger-type settings in the TD-10 I was using. For example, there were about 5 or so selections for the kick drum, some being pads, some related to the vdrum K120.
From there, I'll revise the settings (sensitivity, crosstalk, etc.) to optimize the sound.
FYI, I've recommend that 3 churches at least entertain the Acoutech conversion for their situation. Yah, you spend a lot on the TD-20, but the kit conversion is less than $1,000. And, you never have to worry about anything ever again.
Lorri,
Thanks for the doc. I'll be sure to review the settings once I get the 20 fired up.
As an aside, the reason I'm getting the 20 is that I'm completely tired of the TD-7 I'm using now. I was using a TD-10 (which was the top-of-the-line before the 12/20 came out), but the owner brought it back to his studio and gave me his 7. Well, the 7 is so archaic in comparison, and the sounds aren't nearly as lifelike as the 10/12/20. Its just insanely hard to work with, and I don't have the time to master it, whereas, I got fairly proficient on the 10. And, the 20 appears to be even more user friendly.

Hello,
I purchased an AX14 snare (when they first came out several years ago when all of the drum heads were white) to go along with my Concert Cast kit.
After MANY years of use (5 services every weekend plus 2 practices a week) my snare is finally starting to act up. It looks like the foam "Wedge" that covers the trigger has eroded to a point where it does not touch the top head anymore.
BTW,
A few of years I had you folks "repair" 2 of my toms. The triggers in the "repaired" toms are Cylindrical shaped. My older 2 toms still have the "wedge" type trigger similar to my AX14 snare. All 4 still work VERY WELL. (through 7 CD projects).
Can I get my Snare repaired or can I get a new trigger for it that I can install myself ?
ALSO,
I purchased the Newer Model (the one with the 'Legs") kick drum pad from you folks a couple of years ago as a backup to the one that got with my original kit. I HAVE NEVER USED IT !! because my original has worked SO WELL.
Thanks for all of your help and for a GREAT PRODUCT !!Kevin

Hi, I have a Concertcast pintech kit I purchased new,
and noticed the kick drum , 10" upright, only has one
sensor under the drum head, and doubt it can use a
double pedal without sounding funky and probably
tearing the head.
Can I upgrade it? we need to use a double kick pedal
now. Ahhh, but you only need one sensor and all Pintech bass drums can handle double pedals. No need to spend more money.
thanks much,
M

To who it may concern,
I purchased a Pintech drumset from a private party. I run it through
a Roland drum module. I love the feel of the drums overall as they
are large and responsive. I own the concertcast snare and toms with
the pc series cymbals and cc kick drum.

I am converting an acoustic kit to electronic in the very near future for church use. I personally own a TourElite kit, and I love it, so I'd like to use Pintech products again. I saw the Acoustech conversion package. I'd like to know that cost of the package for just the parts (no factory install). I've replaced the old foam-on-bottom-head setup in my pintech snare for the new bridge, and am very confident in installing the system myself

Hello; Thanks for your response the other day, when I asked you about ordering four 10-inch and one 8-inch Silentech heads for our Pintech E-Jam kit. You had said that our existing Pintech warranty (we bought them new) meant we could get them at a discount. However, I had mistakenly told you the drums were a little over a year old; the fact is, they're actually slightly over 2 years old (too honest for my own good, I guess). Anyway, are they still under warranty, and can I still order them for the price you quoted? Yes!
Also, what info do you need from me to make this happen? Regardless of the outcome, thanks for all the help so far. You make a great product.

hi there,
I'm an owner of a pintech edrum set, and LOVE it!!! was about to track a part on sat when my 10" cymbal that i have assigned to my hi hat, stopped responding. i tried the cable on other drums and they worked fine. so i'm thinking i must have beat the hooey out of the trigger. this sound like a fair assesment? if that is the cause, i'm looking at your shop for a replacement trigger, but not seeing one. could you point me to what i need?
thanks in advance!

Hello! How are you? It's been a while since I have written. The last thing

Lorrie,
Thanks for answering my question. I'm replying just to let you know I've heard great things about you from several people on the Yamaha DTXperience forums. Especially from Jack, who runs a combination DTXtremeIIs and DTXpressIV monster kit with Pintechs. So, I'm glad it was you who personally answered my mail. You are well respected!

Hey Lorrie,
So how much to specially make one? Perhaps the Concert Cast (like 3 tomes) might be the way to go ;) I could always try 1 to see how it works with the DTXpress IV... OR... (if you guys want), you could make one up first and see if it WILL work with the DTXpress IV brain (as in theory I believe it would). I believe this could also increase your sales since a lot of people LOVE the new sounds in the DTXpress IV BUT are bumbed that the toms are only single triggered. Have you read Jacks review on the DTXpress IV? He says his Pintech's work better with the new brain. Doesn't even need the easy tune. Here's a link to his review on the IV on the DTX forum.

Thanks again for Makin the Best Electronic Pads Ever!
I've been using my PINTECH Concertcast on the road and in the studio for 8 years now.
Teamed up with a yamaha DTX and An EMU Procussion sound module.
They still look like they were taken out of the box and have done more work than my Acoustic Kit.
Keep the Great work ethic. You Guys are the BEST HANDS DOWN.
Thanks again for being my Electronic Drums of Choice.....KUDOS

Customer response after purchasing used Pintech and finding out about the warranty renewal plan!
Wow Lorrie, thanks for that explanation. That was great. I will definatley do that before I order the other ones, and I am going to be due for new heads pretty soon too. Thats a great plan, I did not know about that. Thanks for the info. You'll be hearing from me soon.

Lorrie,
Thanks so much for you help. As stupid as I feel...the plug wasn't all the way in. I tried that thing 3 times the other night! So last night I leaned around to look and, sure enough, it wasn't in all the way. It took a bit of muscle but it works great now. Thanks again!

When a new drum doesn't trigger first check that drum is plugged in all the way!

Lorrie,
Last night I simply cranked on the screws for the clymbal spring mounts and everything is working fine on that end. Using the springs limits the rotation of the cymbals, which is really important.

Thank you very much. I do play with headphones. Honestly, this neighbor complains that she can hear my TV and me talking. It's a weird situation because she's a bit of a shut in and she's the busy body of the building. Her father was a drummer, so I think she has some issues that go well beyond what she's hearing. Anyway, now that I have the info that the decibels of ambient noise is 54 and the kit with headphones is 64, that is really helpful! Thank you again. I will rock on!

Hi Lorrie,
I received the replacement parts yesterday. You guys really figured out the dual piezo/foam issue with the 14" "snare". I replaced the parts last night and ran a simple test and all the positional sensing worked - event the rim shots were consistent. I played the drums for about an hour this morning really test things out and all trigger flawlessly. This was not the case when I first got drums. I just got a TD-20 to replace my TD-10/exp and they triggered flawlessly with that as well without making any trigger adjustments. I just plugged them in. I now have a different opinion about Pintech drums.
By the way, it looks like those hard black washers you sent are doing the job. I do not have a loose tension screw yet.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Lorrie,
I wanted to thank you and your husband for helping with my set. I love it.
The heads are great for practicing and the triggering for the TD-8 is extrememly accurate.
I also wanted to thank Dan for coming up and meeting with me over the weekend.
That was extremely nice of him. I had a great conversation with him about his campaign and
about Pintech. When does he leave for the straw poll? Actually, he gave me an internet address
to keep up with his progress, but I didn't write it down. Do you have his email address so I
can followup with him?
Let me know.
Thanks,

Thanks for the information Lorrie.
Quite honestly, the whole concept of acoustic-looking electronic drums is fascinating.
It's good to know the a respected company like Pintech offers complete cross-over services.
I'd assume one could send you the drums and you convert them over. Has there been any
discussions with major manufacturers (DW, Pearl, Gretsch, etc.) about making more of their
sets come with a "pintech insides?"
Just curious.

Hi Lorrie. Thanks for your reply.
Before using the TD-8 I was using an Alesis D4. It was worse with sensitivity than the Roland is.
I bought the kit new from a place called Drumbalaya in Bellevue, Washington. I think it might have been the summer of 2003!). I've loved using it and it has stood up to the abuse of being set up and taken down at least once a week since then, not to mention dozens of kids playing on it each week. The drums still trigger very nicely. I am interested in ugrading cymbals though. I will try the settings you sent first. If that doesn't make things better, i'll find out for sure how old it is and ask you for more details on the upgrade. Again, thanks much for your response and for being such a cool company to work with. I dig your stuff and will continue to recommend Pintech to my students.

Lorrie is just like anyone else and does make mistakes as evidenced by her apology here!
Sorry that one was actually my fault, read trigger but somehow clicked on bass pad when
created the order for my shipper. Though I strive for perfection daily the good Lord has
not chosen to allow me to reach it yet. My crew absolutely loves when I mess up cuz they
wonder how I can fuss at myself, but it keeps me humble, I keep trying to tell them I make
mistakes too but I just try to keep the mistakes we make to a minimum because our customers
count on us. As I said not perfect just good at creating the illusion sometimes. Obviously
not this time!

Thank you, Lorrie!!
Everything arrived as ordered..and I am already enjoying it.
Your service has been impeccable.
I may order, as an upgrade, some better cymbals.
Thanks again,

I have a problem with the road pro drums set. The problem is, I dont have one.
So I was wondering if you could send me a set for free. Hey, it couldn't hurt
to ask right? I tested a set out at a music store, and I think they are better
than even the Roland TD-20. Thanks.

This is such a nice kit I can't really believe I own it! And it has the EZ
tune single zone system installed, too. That is so cool. I have just ordered some
SilenTrim from you guys. My markersmanship is a little off. I keep wacking the rims!
I was looking on the forum postings and noticed another customer happy about the
layaway program allowing him to buy a kit. I think it is awesome to have an option
for drummers that doesn't cause a drowning in debt situation. Speaking of the great
support for your customers, how does the upgrade program work? Let's say I wanted to
upgrade to a dual zone ride, I trade it in like a car? I think that is indeed an
impressive program. I know that the single zone ConcertCast pads can be refitted to be
dual zone, but I guess the cymbals can't. (some actually can) They get beatup anyway really.
New ones make more sense. (can still be traded in regardless of how old) Again, thank you for the great kit. Pintech player for life!

Hi Lorrie,
Always a very pleasant surprise to get such a zippy answer straight
from the factory!
I have attached a couple photos of my set up. Basically I want to
place a couple RS5's on top of the aluminum plate instead of my flakey
piezo elements. I would then strip your beautifully molded 1/4"
connectors and wire into my stereo jack which is mounted on the back
side of the aluminum plate.
So, I'm just wondering how well you think RS5's will respond to finger
taps and hand slaps. By that I mean, will they be a musically useful
tool for hand and finger play. The HPD-15 has a fair number of
adjustment parameters on the external trigger inputs, so it just needs
to be in the ballpark level wise and consistent in it's response.
Based on the reputation of your triggers I would think so, but wanted
to hear it from you in regards to hand use, as no one on the forums
has mentioned it.
I'm also curious about using the Nimrod and Dingbat for hand use. I like their compact size and mounting system. Do you think they would respond well to hand tapping?
Thanks,
(MY RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS) The RS5's should work, as we test them by finger tapping on them. As
far as nimrod and dingbat, I think the surface would simply be too
hard for what you are wanting to do. You can't finger tap on them
without seriously hurting your hand with time.. Happy New Year!
Hi Lorrie,
Just wanted to let you know I received my RS5's today. Installed them and they work GREAT! They are so much more responsive to my touch than my old pads.
Thanks for a great product

First, I wanted to make it clear the abuse that my drums take. I have ended up repairing every kit I have ever owned. That has included some very good kits such as Tama, DW, Yamaha, Pearl, Ludwig and even Sonor. Just to name a few. That is not due to their quality level. I suppose I am a “heavy hitter” as you guys put it. We have even had to go as far as lowering the Vcrv on our DM-5 to ‘1’ to keep the toms and snare from bogging on the velocity. Your recommendation was 3-4. Our setting is significantly lower.
I started on this endeavor due to an injury I recently sustained. I had broken my right hand and was unable to hit the drums at an adequate level to fulfill my duties as a percussionist.
At any rate, I wanted to shoot you an email to express my experience with your Pintech kits. They are remarkably easy to setup. It literally took about 10-20min for set up from the time the kit arrived to our door.
As far as playability.... it is REMARKABLE! I am able to perform percussion techniques with a broken hand that I wouldn’t have been able to do under normal circumstances on a standard acoustic kit.
I am very excited about the new 12” Bass Drum and 14” Snare we just purchased from Pintech as I know they will make the kit even better. I am also ecstatic that when I get my cast off I know the kit will more that stand up to my to my expectations and high demand. The sky is the limit as far as my potential as a percussionist.
I would also like to stress the fact of the drum shells and rack durability. I have never seen a shell that was so indestructible. I typically go through heads and hardware on a monthly basis. With this kit, I have yet to have a problem. That aspect alone is mind numbing to me. I have never had a kit so well manufactured.
I checked out the Roland Kits as well as Yamaha at a local dealer and wasn't nearly as impressed. Not to mention, the Roland did not seem as structurally sound when put to the test and was almost twice the price to boot. Although the playability was good, it did not seem completely secure.
The Yamaha kit didn’t even have that sense of realism that your kits do. That was the end of that try out. Maybe in the future Yamaha will have a kit that feels more realistic. As far as I know, to date they do not manufacture one.
I look forward to doing business with you in the future and am looking forward to the new technology that you are coming up with so rapidly. My only worry is that when I have completed building the ultimate kit, your product is so fantastic that I fear not having to order anything else.
I would also like to mention the extraordinary action that I am receiving from the mesh heads on the drums themselves when playing intricate drum fills. In comparison, the difficulty is much less than that on an acoustic set.
Speaking of acoustic kits which I now refer to as “old school”, I never expected that the day would come that I would convert to this “new age” technology. For 10yrs I absolutely refused to even entertain the idea of an electronic kit as I felt like a traitor. I am so glad that I switched over at this point.
The way that the rack system interfaces with the drums and cymbals is surprisingly convenient. The adjustability is never an issue as it was in past experience.
I would go as far as to say that those “old school” drummers out there should give it a whirl. It doesn’t hurt to give in to the latest in the electronic age. I indulged myself in it and will NEVER go back. Sure, there will always be my favorite acoustic kits…. But, this far exceeds in terms of playability.
This is coming from a 35 year old percussionist who began at the age of 15. I sincerely hope that my input on Pintech’s electronic drum kits has been useful and knowledgeable

Hi Lorrie,
We have all kinds of acoustic kits, Yamaha, Tama, DW, Sonor, Premeir, Ludwig...etc. just to name a few. We were so nervous about going electronic. But, oh my gosh! This Pintech is awesome!!!! Mark says "comparatively, the pintech set plays better than anything I have ever had". We tried out the Rolands, the Yamaha (I still don't know why) and Hart......and nothing was as good. Not to mention my personal favorite aspect, YOU'RE IN THE USA. :) We just can't give you folks at Pintech enough praise.
Talk soon,

Hi Lorrie,
I want to personally say thank you for the services you consistently have provided for me. I brag to all fellow musicians about you and the Pintech E-drum Company and the quality service I receive when ever I need anything. The company should feel proud of the work you have been doing and compensate you well for it. I find it rare to experience this level of customer service in companies today. Well done!

December 20, 2006
Hi Lorrie.
Again, thank you for the kind words.
I'm writing to explain what I needed the trigger kit for (bridge/trigger/foam). When I bought my AX14 snare from Musiciansfriend.com, I had no choice, at the time, I didn't know about Pintech Canada and this place was the only one that would ship this snare to Canada (Yes, I wanted it that bad).
Well, it took about a month to get my snare and when I got it I was one happy camper, after giving it a careful look over, I had noticed that one of the tension rods was missing, so off to a local drum shop to get a tension rod, no biggie. Well, once I connected this snare to the DTXtreme IIs, I was so disappointed, I loved the feel of the mesh head but the snare would misstrigger like crazy, it wasn't as bad when connected to the DTXpress III. I got an external EzTune and that really helped but still, the snare would do some strange things from time to time. It would often misstrigger. So I came to the conclusion that someone before me had purchased this snare from musiciansfriend and messed with it (thus the missing tension rod) and then returned it, musiciansfriend must have just stuck it back on the shelf and I'm the lucky one that got the defective snare. Well, I concluded that maybe the trigger (piezzo) or foam might be the culprit. I guess I was right, Monday night, I tore the AX14 apart, put in the new bridge, the new piezzo's and the all new dual colored foam. Lorrie, that new foam is amazing, please tell me that all new Pintech drums come with this new foam.....
Since rebuilding my snare it has worked flawlessly, tonight I tried something radical, I took off the external EzTune to see what would happen and the snare works like a dream even with EzTune gone. It seems the soft part of the new foam (the light grey part) absorbs a lot of shock and also resonance present in the AX14. With the old foam and no EzTune, this snare was way to HOT signal wise for the Yamaha modules, it would double and tripple trigger like crazy, now with no EzTune, the gain in the module set to default settings, the AX14 is sensitive while triggering perfectly. My hat is off to whoever designed the new foam piece. If you hear of any of your customers complaining that the AX14 is too HOT (trigger picks up too much resonance or the signal is to loud) see if they have the new foam or the old hard dark grey (black) foam, I'd be willing to bet they have the dark foam. At least for Yamaha module users, make sure they get a AX14 with the new foam in it, it will prevent you from getting customer complaints! :)
Now I love my AX14!!!!! :) w00p! hahaha.
Take care Lorrie, have yourself a glorious day! :)
Regards: Jack

I would like to say your web site rocks. Thank you for the most pleasent online ordering experience I have had in quite a while. Kudos to your web developer.

I recently bought a Pintech E-GIG drum set. The kit contained a sturdy rack, 3 10 inch drums, base drum, hi-hat, two cymbals, and a ez drum module (everything needed to play mines the base pedal). At first I was a little apprehensive, but found they actually license technology from roland. The drum set exceeded my expectations. The frame was rugged and had plenty of mounts. The drums themselves were extremely well built with a cast bases, stainless steel rims, and mesh heads (that play extremely well). I found that it was fairly inexpensive to upgrade my kit to add silent trims and dual triggers. Pintech provides the best warranty on the market, with a large discount for upgrades and the ability to buy up to other products. Though, I had some issues with my original EZ Module, Pintech suprised me by providing an upgraded module that corrected many problems of the earlier module and sounded a lot better. I was enjoying the set so much (I play every night now) that I wanted an additional snare so I could have 3 toms and a snare. I bought a used Hart Dynamics Acusnare on EBAY. After doing some testing I found the Pintech drums were more sensitive and actually played considerably louder (by exchanging a Pintech tom with the hart snare). In addition, the mesh surface on the hart just did not feel as good as the Pintech mesh. So I decided to sell it and replace it with a Pintech snare.
I have always loved playing music and drumming. The ability to play to my ipod with headphones on is a real pleasure. My brother tried the set once and he was hooked. My kids like to play it too. The set also sounds great live on studio speakers. The Pintech products just keep getting better and I am really looking forward to their next generation drum module. My next upgrades will be to get two to three zone chokable cymbals and a drum module to take advantage of dual zone drums and cymbals. If Pintech had a module available now that supported this, I would definitely buy it. I have played the more expensive Roland drum sets at the music store and the Pintech drums play as well if not better for a fraction of the cost. Pintech is making electronic drumming affordable for the masses. I can't wait to see what they come out next with. - Guy Bieber

Lorrie, That goes above and beyond my expectations !! I am trully gratefull and I am extremely pleased! I really love pintech products I have two of your concert cast products and Love them. I love that we as musicians have the choice to play on less expensive equipment that is equal to to the quality of roland. I feel roland is way over priced and I for one am a pintech life long fan !!!
